Terms

The agreement.

Last updated: 9 September 2026

These terms and conditions apply to every offer by HormoTize and to every agreement you enter into with us as a consumer via HormoTize.com. They describe what you buy, what we deliver, what it is not, what you pay and how you get out of it again.

Read them before you order. Completing your order means accepting them, and from then on they are part of the agreement between us.

1.Who we are

These terms apply between you and:

  • Actus Rens, a sole proprietorship under Dutch law, trading as HormoTize
  • Chamber of Commerce number: [Chamber of Commerce number]
  • Registered address: [registered address]
  • Email: [contact address]
  • Website: HormoTize.com

Referred to below as 'HormoTize', 'we' or 'us'. By 'you' we mean the consumer: the natural person not acting for their trade or profession who enters into an agreement with us.

2.What the words mean

  • App: the HormoTize mobile application, where you see your results, scores, biological ages and guidance.
  • Website: HormoTize.com, where you buy a package and manage your subscription.
  • Package: a yearly subscription with a predetermined set of biomarkers, a blood draw and access to the app.
  • Add-on: a single extra biomarker bought alongside your package and included in the same draw.
  • Lab service: the blood draw and laboratory analysis, carried out by or through the affiliated laboratory and its draw locations.
  • Biomarker: a value measured in your blood.
  • HRI: the Hormonal Recovery Index, the daily score the app calculates from your sleep, hormones, stress, activity and body composition.
  • System Age: the indicative biological age the app calculates per body system.
  • Agreement: the distance contract between you and us for the supply of a package and any add-ons.

3.What these terms apply to

These terms apply to every offer by HormoTize and to every distance contract concluded between you and us.

Before the agreement is concluded we make the text of these terms available to you electronically, in a way that lets you save it and read it back later.

Departures from these terms apply only where we have expressly agreed them with you in writing. Where a provision conflicts with mandatory consumer law, mandatory law prevails and the remaining provisions stay in force.

4.The offer

Every package on the website states which biomarkers it contains, that the blood draw is included, and which features of the app you get with it: your results next to their reference and optimal ranges, your System Ages, your daily HRI and the guidance that follows from them.

Add-ons can be added while ordering. They are included in the same blood draw, so an extra marker costs you no extra needle and no second appointment. You see the price of each add-on before you add it.

An offer stands as long as it is on the website. Obvious errors and slips in prices or descriptions do not bind us.

5.How the agreement is concluded

The agreement is concluded the moment you complete the order process, tick that you accept these terms, and your payment is confirmed by our payment provider.

We confirm your order by email. That confirmation states what you bought, what you paid and how to book your blood draw.

If we cannot fulfil your order — for instance because no draw location is available in your region — we will say so as soon as possible and refund the full amount.

6.What the service includes

The HormoTize service consists of:

  • supply of the package you chose, with the biomarkers it contains and any add-ons;
  • the blood draw at an affiliated location and the laboratory analysis of your blood;
  • presentation of your results in the app, each marker next to its reference range and its optimal range;
  • calculation and presentation of your System Age per body system;
  • calculation and presentation of your daily HRI, with the five factors beneath it;
  • the daily check-in and the option to connect a wearable;
  • guidance and actions grounded in scientific literature, with the source shown;
  • the AI coach, which answers questions about your own figures;
  • a year of access to all of this in the app, from the day the agreement is concluded.

7.What the service explicitly is not

HormoTize provides a wellness and lifestyle service. We do not provide medical care, do not diagnose, do not give medical advice and do not prescribe treatment or medication.

Your results, your System Ages, your HRI and the guidance in the app are informational and lifestyle-oriented. They are not a substitute for a doctor, and the reference ranges we show are not a medical judgement about your health.

If you have health complaints, see a value that worries you, or are in doubt — go to your GP and take your results with you. In an emergency call 112. See also our medical disclaimer.

8.Prices and payment

All prices on the website are in euros and include VAT, unless expressly stated otherwise.

You pay through our payment provider Stripe, using iDEAL, credit card, debit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or Bancontact. Your card and bank details go directly to Stripe; we do not see them and do not store them.

We may change our prices. A price change never applies to a subscription year already under way. If a new price takes effect at your renewal, we will tell you well before that date so you can decide whether to continue.

If you do not pay, or a payment is reversed, we may suspend access to the app until the amount has been settled.

9.Term, renewal and cancellation

A package is a yearly subscription with a term of twelve months, starting on the day the agreement is concluded.

After those twelve months your subscription renews automatically for an indefinite period. From then on you can cancel at any time, with a notice period of no more than one month. That is the regime of the Dutch Wet van Dam, and we do not depart from it.

You cancel in your account on the website or by sending us a message at our email address. Cancelling is as easy as subscribing: no phone call, no registered letter and no form.

If you cancel, you keep access to the app until the end of the period you have already paid for. A blood draw already performed and results already delivered are not refunded: that service has been delivered.

We may terminate or suspend the agreement if you seriously breach these terms, for example by sharing your account or misusing the service. We will tell you, and where reasonable give you the chance to put it right first.

10.The blood draw and your results

After your purchase you book an appointment for the blood draw, on the website or later in the app. You choose the location and the time.

You are responsible for keeping that appointment and for following the preparation instructions. If your package contains markers requiring you to fast, the app says so in advance; arriving unfasted can make the result unusable.

If you do not turn up without cancelling in time, we or the draw location may charge for that appointment. Rescheduling or cancelling is free until the moment stated in the app.

Your results appear in the app once the laboratory has completed the analysis. For that turnaround we depend on the lab; the app gives an expectation, not a guarantee.

The laboratory and the draw location carry out their part independently and under their own medical responsibility. We undertake to deliver the service as a whole with care and remain your point of contact: if something goes wrong, you report it to us and we sort it out with the lab.

11.The app, your account and connections

Your account is personal. You are responsible for keeping your password secret and for what happens under your account. If you suspect someone else has access, reset your password and let us know.

Connecting a wearable is optional and free. The app works without one; your scores then rest on what you enter yourself.

A connection depends on your wearable's vendor. If they change their programming interface, revoke access or their service goes down, a connection may fail temporarily or permanently. We therefore cannot guarantee the availability of a connection, and its failure gives no right to a refund of your package.

The app is for personal use. You may not copy it, reverse-engineer it, scrape it or use it to build a competing service.

12.Your right of withdrawal

With a distance contract you as a consumer have, in principle, fourteen days to change your mind. You may rescind the agreement within that period without giving reasons. The period starts on the day the agreement is concluded.

You withdraw by sending an unambiguous statement to our email address. You may use the European model form for this, but you do not have to: a clear email is enough. We confirm receipt and refund within fourteen days of your notice, using the same payment method you paid with.

When ordering, we expressly ask whether we may begin during the cooling-off period — so that you can book your blood draw straight away, for instance. If you say yes, the following applies, as Dutch law provides in Article 6:230p of the Civil Code.

  • If the service is partly performed during the cooling-off period at your express request and you then withdraw after all, you pay a proportionate part of the price for what has been delivered; the rest is refunded.
  • If the blood draw has been performed at your request and analysis has begun, that part of the service cannot by its nature be undone. For that part your right of withdrawal lapses once the service has been fully performed, which you expressly acknowledged when ordering.
  • If you have not yet booked and no blood has been drawn, your right of withdrawal applies in full and you get the entire amount back.

13.What we expect from you

  • That you are eighteen or older.
  • That the details you give are accurate. Your date of birth, sex, height and weight partly determine how your values are assessed; if those are wrong, your score is wrong too.
  • That you use the app for what it is meant for, and not as a substitute for medical care.
  • That you do not share or resell your account.

14.Availability, maintenance and changes

We undertake to keep the app and the website available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Where possible we announce maintenance and schedule it at quiet times.

We may keep developing the service: improving, adding or replacing features. If we remove a material feature you have paid for, we will tell you in advance and you may end the agreement free of charge for the remainder of your subscription year.

We may adjust the scientific basis behind our scores and guidance when new literature calls for it. Your scores may change as a result without you having done anything differently; the app says so when that happens.

15.Intellectual property

The app, the website, the texts, the design, the HormoTize name, the calculations behind the HRI and the System Ages and everything that goes with them belong to us or to our licensors.

You receive a personal, non-transferable right to use the app for as long as your subscription runs. Nothing more: nothing is transferred to you.

Your own data remains yours. We do not become the owner of your blood values, your check-ins or your wearable data, and you can request or delete them at any time.

16.Liability

We are liable for direct damage that is the direct result of an attributable failure on our part.

Our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event causing the damage.

We are not liable for indirect damage, including consequential loss, lost income and missed savings.

We are not liable for decisions you take on the basis of your results, your scores or our guidance. Those are informational and lifestyle-oriented and do not replace a doctor.

These limitations do not apply in the case of intent or deliberate recklessness on our part, in the case of death or personal injury, or to the extent that mandatory consumer law prescribes broader liability. Mandatory law prevails over this article in all cases.

17.Force majeure

We do not have to perform our obligations where we are prevented from doing so by force majeure.

This includes at least: failures or outages at the laboratory, the draw locations, our payment provider, our hosting, the wearable vendors or other engaged third parties, and further internet and power failures, cyberattacks, government measures and epidemics.

If the force majeure lasts longer than thirty days, both you and we may end the agreement for the part not yet performed, and we refund what you had already paid for it.

18.Complaints

If you are unhappy about something, tell us at our email address. Describe your complaint as fully and clearly as you can, and do so within a reasonable time after discovering the problem.

We acknowledge your complaint within seven days and answer it substantively within fourteen days. If we need longer, we will say so within those fourteen days, with an indication of when you will get an answer.

19.Governing law and disputes

Dutch law applies to these terms and to the agreement.

If we cannot resolve a matter together, you may bring the dispute before the competent Dutch court. As a consumer you retain the right to litigate before the court of your own place of residence.

You can also submit a dispute through the European Commission's ODR platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

20.Changes to these terms

We may amend these terms. The most recent version is always on HormoTize.com, with the date it was updated.

If we change something material during a running subscription, we will tell you at least thirty days in advance. If you do not agree, you may end the agreement as of the date the change takes effect and we refund the unused part of your subscription year.

These terms are drawn up under Dutch consumer law and describe the service as it is actually delivered. The provisions on withdrawal, automatic renewal and liability are being reviewed by a lawyer; mandatory consumer law always prevails over what is written here.
